So it's been an icky week. It all started by finding out that my top advocate at work is leaving. Not that its the end of the world and it really puts my company in more a pinch than me, but still a pain none-the-less.
Then I find out that Jereme's job is being eliminated in January. Again, not the end of the world, but certainly sucks. It will be ok and I am trying not to stress about it too much. He's been wanting out of US Bank for a long, long time, so maybe it just took this to kickstart things. He's a smart guy with tons of potential; I am sure something will come along. Hopefully that something makes tons of money, so me and baby VB can go shopping!
To top off the everything else, we've been plagued with interviewing idiots. I seriously cannot believe that some of these people would think that we would actually pay them to watch our kid. Yesterday we went to a house where we literally had to kick crap out of the way to walk though it. Dirty dishes laying everywhere, kids running around screaming. Then she tells me that her kids have a 'seperate area' (they are 4 and 15 months) because they will really need their space. What the heck is that supposed to mean? Anyways, we left within 15 minutes, shaking our heads. Maybe, just maybe, we'll have better luck at one of the next places.
A place for me to write about life. I don't give a hoot what anyone else thinks about it.

Cleaning and kicking
Apparently I am not in shape that I thought I was. I try to workout 3x per week doing 45 minutes of cardio and light weights. How is it that I can be so sore from cleaning my house? Not just the 'oh I am stiff,' we're talking the soreness that makes we cringe when you get up or sit down. For someone who pees every 20 minutes, this can be a real inconvenience. At least my house is spotless! I even cleaned the man cave (Jereme's living room), which only gets touched every few months. I usually only go down there to write obscenities on the dusty TV.
Over the weekend I learned that our baby kicks on command. Ok, the kid kicks or moves constantly anyways, but I have now learned the tricks to make it kick. All I have to do is eat something and lay down... or run up and down the stairs and lay down... when all else fails, I can lightly press on my stomach and usually get a reaction within a minute. Ha! It's fun watching my whole belly dance.
Finally notes: One more baby born this past week from a fellow preggers... another girl! And... stupid snow! How the heck I am supposed to fit into my cute winter jackets? I was hoping the cold weather would hold off a little longer. Looks like Jereme and I will be sharing coats this year :)

Just your average week
Not much new this week. No new babies, no new aches and pains... just the same old. Had a relaxing hunting widowers weekend with the girls. We shopped and visited. I maintained my soberness :)
Rather than complaining about how much I want this baby to be born already this week, I thought I would complain about stupid election campaigns. Holy moly am I glad that it is almost over with. The other day Jereme and I counted 15 commercials in a row for one election candidate or the other. All of them bashing each other in way one, then they claim that they are going to stop their bashing ads after they've already aired some. In the end, I don't really think that any of them are going to do as they promise, nor are they as terrible of a person as they are made out to be in the media. Geez, one really has to do the research to find out what is true and what is false. I just hope that your regular person doesn't rely solely on the information in commercials! Ugh.

Two down, two to go
Well, two of the preggers delivered on Monday. Both girls, everyone healthy and no names scratched off baby VonBargen's list. I am jealous...
Over the weekend we had our annual Bouja party out in Lux. Typically I am three sheets to the wind for this one, so it was a little different this year. Even Jereme managed to stay half way sober... well let's not get carried away here... he left the party on his own, meaning walking on his own :) Depsite the soberness I still had a blast. Bouja is good no matter which condition you are in. Good company always helps too. I have to wonder why it is that I still woke up the next morning feeling like crap. My mom claims that I was reminiscing hangovers from years past... I am blaming it on exhaustion. My feet hurt for two days afterwards. Next year I'll be back in full swing for sure... as there is no way possible that I am getting pregnant again right away!
This week we're starting to interview daycares. Interesting stuff. Jereme is learning a lot about caring for a child. My favorite so far was the expression on his face when one provider told him that breast fed babies have runnier poop than formula fed. Ha! He had no idea about the blow outs that happen. Well, it's good for him to hear it from other people because sometime I don't think he believes what I tell him :) Hopefully we can find one that we both agree on!

Even My Underwear Feel Tight.
I read an article this week titled, 'Even my Underwear Feel Tight.' That about sums it up for me. Nothing, other than sweatpants and seems to be comfortable, although my overall weight gain isn't all too much (about 10lbs). Time to get used to this being 'big' thing. I was even told that I am starting to walk funny by one of my co-workers this week. They are pretty lucky I didn't punch them. The nickname for pregnant ladies that waddle around the office is Fiona... like Shrek... the ogar. It's a possible Halloween costume I guess. Jereme thinks I should paint my belly like a pumpkin... I think I should take the day off.
Our follow up appointment this week was good. As expected, everything with the baby is fine. Heartbeat was 150 this week... only to boost Jereme's hopes that it will be a boy. The pains I've had are round legiment pains and so I am told there isn't much I can do about them... yuk! And... I am a total wimp, I had to get a flu shot and now my arm is sore. According the my midwife, our child is a little on the 'smaller side' right now, but that's ok. And... she says that we're going to have an active baby that kicks a lot. I didn't need a dr. to tell me that; I feel it constantly. I would expect nothing less. A scrawny kid that's overactive... sounds just like it's parents.
I've got four of my fellow preggers due in the next couple of weeks. I am soooo jealous! I can hardly wait to meet all of the little ones tho! I don't know names for any of them, so we'll see how many Jereme and I cross off our potential list. We're pretty open to names right now and we certainly don't have our hearts set on one or two.
So here's the latest pic... it's terrible I know. Too lazy to use an actual camera, so I had Jereme take it with his cell. I can only pray that I don't looks this awful in real life :)

Ugh
Rough weekend. Back and tummy pains. Hope this doesn't last long. Will have to ask the Dr about it at our follow up appointment this week. Other than that, same old stuff different day.
I find myself staring at my belly a lot, just a waiting for time to pass. 19 long more weeks to go. Although, occassionally I catch a kick, which is fun. Jereme is still laughing at my rapid growth. I can now see all the way into my innie belly button, which more like a giant hole now. A great lint collector for sure. I don't even want to step on the scale; maybe we can skip that this time at the dr :)
All this complaining! I'm blaming it on the weather. Hopefully we'll get sunshine later this week.

Introducing Baby VB
We had our first ultrasound yesterday and finally got to see our munchkin. Not that I had any doubt that I was pregnant, but this makes it so much more real.
Depsite what I thought, we both stood our ground and did not find out the sex of the baby. Ha, now everyone has to wait! Although I do have another u/s scheduled for 28 weeks, so there is a chance that we could give in. No biggy, the placenta is sitting low right now and they just want to make sure it moves before delivery.
Next week, when we meet with the Dr, I will get the full overview, but for now the sonographer said everything seems right on. No changing on the due date (Feb 17, in case you forgot) and the baby weighs about 13 ounces. Very cool to see the little heart pounding away and little wiggles. I'd wanted the baby to kick where I could really feel it, just so I know what it looks like from the inside, but no luck there. Regardless, I could have sat and watched the screen all day long. I'm exicted for another photo op in 8 weeks.
Chat next week.
