A place for me to write about life. I don't give a hoot what anyone else thinks about it.

Downs first:
April and the first part of May started off rocky. The majority of it was spent with family during the last days of my Grandpa's life. I really think that sometimes knowing that a family member is about to go to heaven is harder than it just happening suddenly. I am thankful that we were able to celebrate one last birthday with him and that I got to see him again before he passed. I do still feel a strange void now that he's gone. I miss you Grandpa! I thank God that I have such wonderful family and friends to help me through the hard times.Onto the Ups!:
On the brighter side, I hosted my first Weber family gathering on Mother's Day. I cannot believe I actually got my entire family here. Yup, even my father who hates the 'cities' came for the event. Mother's day this year was different for me. Last year, I think I was still caught up in trying to figure the whole being a mother thing out. This year, I realized how much goes into being a Mom. Seriously, my Mom must be a saint! How she did with three kids is amazing. Well, at least I have a good role model :)Since the last post, I've been to: Arizona, Kentucky, North Carolina, Oregon, California and Michigan... I think? Needless to say I have been busy traveling! Most of the reasoning is that Jereme has been gone for the past 3 week in Baltimore for work. His turn to travel I guess and payback for me always being on the road! Anyways, I put a bunch of travel in just to make sure I could stay home the whole time he was gone.
While Daddy was away at work, Lilly stopped taking a bottle, sleeps through the night, learned how to growl and how to scootch down the stairs on her butt. Amazing how much can happen in just a few weeks! We've been meaning to get Lilly completely off the bottle for a while, but she just didn't want to use a sippy. Maybe I just didn't want her off the bottle. Regardless, once Daddy left, I just stopped giving it to her. Guess what??? She drank out of the sippy when she got thirsty. It wasn't so bad after all. I think if we have another kid, I'll take em off the bottle right at one or sooner!
What else is new... geez, maybe quarterly is too long to wait to post! Oh, I know...
We've finally settled into our new home. I LOVE it! So much better than living in a townhome, except all the things that come with a house, ie yard work, lol. Yard work aside, we've now fully furnished our place and added a deck. Now time to party on it!
Well, that about covers it. Just ready to have a relaxing summer. Hugs to all...
Sara
Ok so maybe this whole blog thing isn't really my thing anymore. I mean I have plenty to say, just no time to actually keep up with it. Perhaps I shall make this a quarterly thing, right? That way, I get to write my word, you get to read it and I still am only on the hook to post every three months. Deal? Ok, deal. For the record Michelle (Ryan's) is further behind then me :)
Let's bring everyone up to speed on 2010. In January, Jereme and I started searching for a new house. It only took 30 houses (and one offer that went no where) for us to start looking at new builds. At first I didn't think it was even an option, but then it turns out that there are deals to be made. Offer accepted, closed two and a half weeks later.
In between the packing we managed to have Lilly's first birthday party. Actually we had two. One in the cities with Jereme's family at the townhouse and one up in St. Cloud at my parents. They were both great! We have such awesome family and Lilly is soooo spoiled by them.
Lilly had her one year check up and as I expected, she didn't make the charts again for weight. 16lbs 7oz. She's measuring in the 25th percentile for height and weight. I guess she'll be facing backwards in the car seat for a while longer.
Because we weren't busy enough... Jereme also landed a new job. He started at the VA as a pensions administrator three weeks ago. Much, much better hours, plus no weekends and since it's a federal gig, every holiday under the sun off and great benefits.
Oh and did I mention that in between all of this, we were also in the process of finding renters for our townhouse and getting the place itself ready to rent? As of today, I am thrilled to say that it's rented starting March 27th for the year. We're even cash flowing on it a small amount... whoo hoo!
As for me, I've been traveling for work drumming up business and just trying to organize the house. Hopefully Jereme and Lilly will becoming on a trip with me to Portland, OR next month. I need to go for work and we have some friends that live there, so I figured we may as well make it a family trip.
So, if all of that isn't reason enough for not posting in a long, long time... then you guys have too much spare time on your hands, lol!
Lots of love... chat with ya in June :)
Jereme had to shovel off the deck to get all of our stuff off of it. He had to buy the shovel first!
