I keep intending to update this thing at least once a week, but then life takes over and I forget. Thanks to those who so kindly remind me that I need to post!
Anyways, believe it or not I do have a new picture to add, but it has yet to leave my camera. Truth be told, we got a new camera and haven't added the software to our computer yet. It's on my 'to do' list. I figured at this point, I might as well wait until after x-mas and post a bunch of pictures at once. I'll try to get some extra belly pics right after I fill it up with good old xmas goodies.
What else is new... well, Jereme's parents made it home for a visit. Was good to see them. His grandparents are doing as best as could be expected. We intend to spend some more time with them over the holidays. No luck so far with Jereme's job search... somethings gotta happen soon. The thought of him being at home my entire maternity leave scares me :)
Baby is doing fine. Kicking and punching like crazy and enjoying the holiday food. Hopefully at my next appointment, they'll be able to give me news about when they think I will go. Wishful thinking I know, but I am getting really anxious. For now, it's 57 days and counting.
I do have to mention that I got one holiday wish granted. For 2 years there was a billboard of Kenny Chesney smiling down on my on my way to work. Then the jerks went and replaced it with a prevent suicide billboard :( No good. Last week I was plesantly surprised to find that there is a new billboard of Kenny taking a gander in my direction. He's on my way home from work now. Amazing how the little things and life can make you smile. Jereme thinks I am nuts.
Time to run, Merry Christmas to everyone!
A place for me to write about life. I don't give a hoot what anyone else thinks about it.

No more business travel
It official... I am no longer traveling for business until after I return from maternity leave. At least not on an airplane. Waddling through airports with a 15lb backpack and a rolling suitcase is a disaster waiting to happen. Maybe I am just out of shape, but seriously, you get tired real quick. Then there is the actual flying itself. Baby VB seems to think that as soon as the plane takes off it is time to do somersaults. Not to mention the fact that you're crammed into the plane like sardines. Worst of all, my flight home was delayed... a lot... which put me at home WAAAAYYY past my bedtime. And, the plane smelt so badly of urine that the people getting on in front of me actually took steps back when boarding. Alas, I made it into my own bed that night.
So after my business trip fiasco, I have my early morning doctors appointment. Blurry eyed I make it on time thinking that my blood pressure is going to be through the roof, but actually it was perfect. Maybe I was too tired to care to get worked up. Gained another 2 lbs... I think that puts be around 15 or so. Doc says its fine and that I am still measuring right on. Baby is doing great. No signs of coming earlier... yet. We're learning a lot about birth and such from online classes, so we're finally getting to a stage where there are questions for the dr. My official opinion, give me the drugs; if I don't have to feel pain, why should I?
I learned that the little 'kicks' I feel consistently are really the baby getting the hiccups. He/she gets them almost every day. I don't know why, but it makes me laugh to think of the little bugger hiccupping away in there.
Final thought for the day... should pregnant women be expected to shave and put on nylons? I am thinking no... both are just too risky. Maybe I will give them up for my New Year's resolution or at least until the baby is here :)

Ready set... its xmas time
As most of you know, Jereme's mom and step-dad live over in Malaysia. Most years they come back in the month of December to spend time with the family over the holidays. This usually makes our month really, really busy as we try to spend as much time with them as possible. This year they decided to wait and come back in February as most of the family has more available time then and of course... that's when the baby is due. Well, all that changed last week. Jereme's Grandmother who suffers from Parkinson's isn't doing to great and then his step-gpa had a severe stroke. Anyways, his parents decided to make the trek back to for the next two weeks. They plan on coming back in February too. Its great to have them home for the holidays, but now we're a little busier than expected!
I feel a little rushed to cram in all the holiday events, not to mention shopping. Then again, why complain, the faster this goes, the closer I get to having this baby!
Not much new with the kiddo this week. Still beating me up from the inside. Jereme continues to laugh at my big tummy everyday. He actually thinks I am going to miss it after the baby is born... yeah right. I may have to break my habit of talking to my tummy, but I won't miss it!
Work travel and doctor's appointments scheduled for next week. Hoping that my blood pressure won't be sky high after flying.
Until then...
